Bromeliads are strong and easy to maintain and give flowering pleasure for an average of 3-6 months. Place the Bromeliad in the light (not in full sun). Water this plant in the central calyx; this is the heart of the plant from which the flower grows. From this heart, the plant will feed itself. If no more water is visible in the central cusp of the leaves, the plant should be watered again. It is not necessary to add extra plant food to the water. If the water in the calyx is no longer visible, the plant should be watered again. Practical, such a natural water reservoir, isn't it?

If you want give your Bromeliad extra humidity on a very warm day, feel free to spray the leaves with waterdust or place the pot in a bowl of water that is allowed to evaporate slowly around the plant. In nature, Bromelia also takes moisture and nutrition out of the air with its leaves; it's no different in your indoor climate.

NICE TO KNOW

Bromeliads with broad leaves like a dry environment and bromeliads with narrow leaves prefer a more humid location. The Tillandsia, for example, is the perfect bathroom plant and an Aechmea grows well on the windowsill, even in dry heating air.

IS YOUR BROMELIAD AT THE END OF ITS FLOWERING PERIOD? THEN IT'S TIME FOR A NEW ONE, BECAUSE A BROMELIAD ONLY BLOOMS ONCE.
